The War of Destruction coupled with the nearness of the planet to the center of the galaxy, lead to great changes to the world at large. In the United States alone, the topography changed, in some ways, greatly. The city of New York, for instance, was sunk, as was the greater part of the state of New Jersey. People not wanting to see New York City lost to the world, painstakingly rebuilt it, to match the original, and in Central Park of New New York City stands a monument to those who helped rebuild the city. The cities of New Chicago and New Detroit are, thanks to the Great Lakes, now islands. The straights of Juan de Fuca and Georgia up between the state of Washington and Canada, have been reduced to rivers and the Puget Sound and related waters are now but large interlaced lakes. The greater portion of California is now an island.

Locally, Asheville, once very landlocked, is now prime beachfront property. The land that was to the east of Asheville is now rather wet, to put it mildly, and a very large bay cuts the tip of North Carolina that is home to Asheville off from the rest of the state. Though Asheville is not the only city now to be close to the sea when it wasn't before. Atlanta also finds itself with beaches and having to worry about tides and tidal waves.

World at Large

Elsewhere in the world, there have been changes as well. Rome required massive rebuilding as did the Vatican, though there are rumors that the Vatican lacks it's treasures and collections even the money it had before the War of Destruction. Those associated with the much weakened Vatican do not appear to believe this or even recognize such. As there are many statues around Rome that are the property of the Vatican.

Korea gained in land mass, and is once more united north and south under an Empress with a cool and level head. She remained loyal to the true leadership of America during the 10 dark years under Crimson Bloodheart, and has now joined with America in the building of Asheen's dream. It is not uncommon to see Korean nationals in American Military Uniforms.

Other countries have had their share of changes in land mass as well, though none of them have come forward in support of what Asheen is making.
